BOTOX VS. FILLERS: WHAT’S RIGHT FOR ME?
Botox and facial fillers can both give great results. However they work differently. Botox is generally used in the upper 1/3 of the face (forehead, frown lines and crow's feet) to temporarily decrease movement of the facial muscles. Fillers are viscous solutions used in the lower 2/3 of the face (below the eyes) to restore volume loss or to fill in facial lines ... hollow eyes, shallow cheeks and marionette lines will be diminished.

About Botox Cosmetic
BOTOX® Cosmetic is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles and is used to temporarily improve the look of moderate to severe forehead lines, crow’s feet, and frown lines between the eyebrows.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT A TYPICAL OFFICE VISIT FOR BOTOX
Consultation: We'll discuss any concerns you may have regarding your appearance or Botox treatment so we can meet your goals.
Assessment: Your provider will do a facial analysis to determine the best treatment plan for you.
Treatment: If appropriate, we will administer Botox Cosmetic. Very fine needles are used and typically numbing is not necessary. The actual treatment takes about 10 minutes—get in, get out, get on with your day. You may return to work immediately after your visit.
Follow-up: We offer a free two week follow-up visit to assess your response to treatment and do any needed touch-ups.
RESULTS AFTER TREATMENT
24 to 48 Hours: You may begin to notice results within 1 to 2 days.
14 Days: Maximal benefit is generally seen at two weeks.
Up to 4 to 6 Months: Results have been proven to last up to 4 months in clinical trials. Some patients may go up to 6 months between treatments - depending on the strength of their facial muscles, number of prior treatments and desired effects.
SIDE EFFECTS
Most Common Side Effects: In clinical studies, 3% of patients experienced eyelid drooping in the frown lines studies and 1% experienced eyelid swelling in the crow’s feet studies.

No Down Time: Facial fillers are administered during an office visit. Depending on the areas treated it may take up to 45 minutes. You may do Botox Cosmetic and Dermal Fillers during the same appointment. Return to work and life immediately after your treatment.
SIDE EFFECTS
Most Common Side Effects: In clinical studies, injection-site redness, swelling, pain, tenderness, firmness, lumps/bumps, bruising, discoloration, and itching were the most common side effects. These were generally mild to moderate and most resolved in 14 days and almost all by 28 days.
